As two well-established luxury fashion e-commerce brands, they needed to upkeep marketing campaigns, social media, and acquisition efforts to retain and acquire customers.

The Gilt brand initiated motion graphic testing In this case, we utilized different imagery to test performance.
Short vs. Long Email Test
These emails aim to reach the international customer base of Rue Gilt Groupe, specifically of the Gilt brand. This market demands luxe brands; hence imagery selection had to be of recognizable brands and ones with an elevated feel.
After multiple trials, Gilt showed that customers reacted better to shorter emails. The longer or the more information in an email, the click-through rate, and website visitation is much lower than with more concise and visually impactful assets.
Marketing Imagery vs. Regular Imagery Test
The Creative Team pushed for more eye-catching and brighter imagery to be used for marketing & promotion purposes.
